Cardiovascular Centers of America is currently hiring for the position of Clinic Receptionist at our QOROS Clear Lake ASC facility in Clear Lake, Texas.

The receptionist is the first line of patient care. The job duties include scheduling of patients, data entry, check and verify insurance eligibility and assuring the necessary authorizations are obtained, receive and check in patients and have paperwork signed. Strong communication skills are required.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

A high school diploma. At least two years of medical office experience with insurance eligibility and authorization experience.. Excellent people and phone skills. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, dependability, and motivated individuals.

POSITION SUMMARY

The receptionist is the first line of patient care and greets everyone with a welcoming smile. They are expected to check in patients and have paperwork signed, scheduling of patients procedure and follow-up appointments, assembling of patients charts and ordering of office supplies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The following is a list of the major responsibilities of the Receptionist. It is not intended to be an all-inclusive summary and additional responsibilities will be assigned, as the need is determined.

  1. Answer phones, schedule patients, accept referrals.
  2. Manage the medical record with knowledge of EMR’s as a custodian.
  3. Upload documents to the medical record, scan and label all necessary documents.
  4. Review all incoming documents and message providers with urgent needs or results
  5. Handle patient concerns and address limited billing questions.
  6. Schedule, Verify benefits and eligibility of patients.
  7. Check eligibility and verify insurance information. Request necessary authorizations.
  8. Follow up/fax any request for Medical Records.
  9. Develop a working relationship with referring office managers
  10. Inform of patients of benefits and any copay/deductible required. Accept and record patient payments.
  11. Provide marketing and advertising opportunities to grow the practice
  12. Provide assistance for records and insurance with the Revenue Cycle Team
  13. Verify Vendor and visitor sign-in
  14. Adhere to all federal, state and local regulations as well as related company policy including HIPAA
